An exceptional piece of contemporary aesthetics. The Julykhyrs, also called julkhir (Uzbek), whose literal translation is bear skin, is a type of shaggy carpet made by the Kyrgyz and Uzbek weavers, usually with long hair, intended to serve as a sleeping rug. The wool is soft sheep´s wool, the weft (as can be seen in the fringes) and the side binding is of black goat´s wool.
