This vintage Qashqai runner features a thick pile and showcases five traditional Qashqai medallions arranged lengthwise, creating a striking contrast between light and dark.
The red field is filled with intricate motifs, including butterflies, two-headed animals, peacocks, flowers, leaves, birds, stars, protective “s” symbols, and abstract geometric patterns.
In contrast to the vibrant and lively main field, the border has a more formal, structured design that adds balance to the overall composition.

Turkic-speaking pastoral nomadic tribal groups began entering central and southern Iran during the eleventh and twelfth centuries.The Qashqai, as a large tribal unit, dates back at least to the early eighteenth century, when some Turkish(Turki)-speaking tribal groups in the region existed under the name Qashqai.
