kilim from the Qashqai tribe of south western Iran. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool. This kilim has very finely spun wool, so the weaver has been able to weave a piece with the very compact yarn and an elaborate design that consists of three columns of medallions. In addition, some random motifs have been inserted asymmetrically in terms of color and non-repetition. The fringes are original and complete. This was a precious piece for its owner.
