This kilim is from a place called Afyon, which translates to “opium,” where even today this crop is grown for pharmaceutical purposes, and it is said that once the resin is extracted from the plants, the rest is given to them. cows, which produce high-fat milk. With this a local cream is made, or Kaymak, little by which Afyon is known. In this kilim everything is great. In the central field a huge medallion has been woven accompanied by two half medallions. The border is very wide and takes up a large part of the kilim. It has a nice “abrash” or color change in the central red zone.
