The Jafs are a sub-tribe of the Kurdish and produce wonderfully distinctive diamond lattice pattern motifs on their rugs and bags. This bag-face has multiple rows of diamond motifs, each containing latch-hooks surrounding smaller crossed diamonds. The outer border is a single row of flowers. The whole piece is more colorful than most and is woven with exceptional wool.
This bag has been woven with extremely soft and shinny wool. The back is woven with finely spun wool.
