Vintage kilim from Fethiye, Turkey. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool. In the Fethiye region, kilims were woven with the zili technique, as in this case. It was common to find eight-pointed stars as motifs, which in this case have been incorporated into the layout formed by squares. This Fethiye kilim will brighten up anywhere in the house.
