The Bakhtiari live in the arid plain west of Isfahan, in the foothills of the Zagros mountain range. This kilim is very different from the composition normally used by this tribe. Woven in two parts and joined at the center, this kilim combines areas of horizontal bands with more decorated areas at the ends. The kilim is woven with sheep’s wool, except for the white areas that are made of cotton. An authentic, original and different tribal kilim.
