A semi-antique Qashqai kilim woven with undyed wool for the main field, and with orange wool for the side-cords and the embroidered motifs. The background natural colour has beautiful colour shades due to the diferent colour hues of the natural wool.

This kilim is a “palas”, a type of kilim woven to be used as a basis for domestic activities within the nomadic community (drying vegetables, making cheese, etc.). This vintage kilim was hand-woven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own wool spun and carded by hand.
