An unusual semi-antique Qashqai palas kilim that combines the flatweave technique with knotted areas. This piece is unique and in it some motifs has been added to provide a touch of colour like zig-zags, flowers, trees and the strangest looking animals. This kilim will fit perfectly well in a space that needs a neutral piece but also for those of you that love a touch of colour and playfulness in your kilims!

This kilim is a “palas”, a type of kilim woven to be used as a basis for domestic activities within the nomadic community (drying vegetables, making cheese, etc.). This vintage kilim was hand-woven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own wool spun and carded by hand.
