An artistic and creative semi-antique Qashqai kilim from Iran. The background of this kilim is woven with natural undyed wool and it has been decorated with random motifs scattered through the kilim. The motifs include a tree and also multiple geometric motifs. The fringes are original and in perfect condition.

This kilim is a “palas”, a type of kilim woven to be used as a basis for domestic activities within the nomadic community (drying vegetables, making cheese, etc.). This vintage kilim was hand-woven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own wool spun and carded by hand.
