A pretty Baluch saddlebag from the 1940s woven with the soumak technique. It is very interesting to note that both the main field and the border have the same motive, the “s” used as protection. The back of the saddle is very simple and plain, but wonderful rows of little girls, goat heards and geometric figures add a charming touch. The workmanship in the soumak technique weaving is very good.
