This amazing long-pile vintage rug woven by a Baluch woman, has been woven with undyed natural wool in only two colours: brown and ecru and with some dark blue dyed wool. The design is made up of small medallions arranged vertically, whose symmetry is broken by the intercalation of medallions with rectangular and round motifs. The rug is topped by a wide kilim finish at two of the ends. An original and unusual rug.

The Baloch or Baluch are an Iranian people who live mainly in the Balochistan region, located at the southeasternmost edge of the Iranian plateau, encompassing the countries of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. There are also Baloch diaspora communities in neighbouring regions, including in India, Turkmenistan and the Arabian Peninsula.
