Introducing a fantastic semi-antique tribal Baluch rug crafted from the softest imaginable wool. The design is elegantly simple, featuring a latticework pattern that spans the entire deep red field, interspersed with charmingly irregular eight-pointed stars. The color variations, known as abrash, add depth and create an effect where the latticework appears to float. The weaver has achieved a stunning result using just two colors, with subtle variations within these hues.

The rug has a real tribal feeling, it is supple and flexible. The pile has been left very long. This rug is perfect for walking barefoot at home, combining beauty and comfort in one exquisite piece.

Material: 100% hand-spun sheep wool

Size: 243X168 cms

Origin: Baluch tribe, Afghanistan

Date of weaving: 1960s
