To commemorate the 75th aniversary of the Gernika bombing we commisioned the famous Basque sculptor, Koldobika Jauregi, to design a carpet. It is woven in Nepal using the best quality Tibetan wool. In this carpet Koldobika Jauregi has combined oriental elements with Basque rural images and references to Goya and Picasso. A fourth of the original Picasso’s Gernika painting.
