This kilim, woven by women from the Qashqai tribe of southern Iran, is unusual since it is woven with goat wool (something relatively common), but, instead of leaving the natural goat wool undyed, as it is coomon when  goat hair has is used, it has been dyed. It also has a bead as protection against the evil eye. This kilim has been made with several narrow bands that have been subsequently stitched to create an oversized kilim.
