NUEVA IMPORTACIÓN DE AFGANISTÁN
NEW IMPORTATION FROM TURKEY
At the beginning of December we have received an importation from Turkey, from our last trip to this country. In this new importation you will find antique kilims, vintage rugs, cushions, tribal items, patchworks made out of old kilims and much more. In Nómada you will find the perfect present for Christmas!
NEW IMPORT FROM NEPAL
At the begining of November, we have received a new import from Nepal made to our own designs designed by us here at Nómada. They are woven in a Fair Trade workshop in Nepal, using hand-spun Himalayan wool. In this new colection we have played with layering different natural undyed wool shades of grey, beige, brown and white and combining them in a variety of techniques and textures. Who can resist snuggling in one of them in winter?
TELESKOPIOA EXHIBITION
To celebrate that Donostia-San Sebastián is the 2016 European City of Culture we have prepared an exhibition, "Teleskopioa", which reproduces, in rug format, images from the Hubble telescope of NASA. These are spectacular, often abstract, images, showing our planet, stars and supernovae. The idea behind the "Teleskopioa" collection is that we would like people to reflect on the beauty of our temporary "home" - the planet earth and the space aro
NEW IMPORTATION OF ANTIQUE KILIMS AND VINTAGE RUGS FROM TURKEY
NEW IMPORTATION: Our Turkish vintage collection rugs are made with semi antique rugs that have been bleached and afterwards overdyed in contemporary colours. The distressed look achieved is very popular.
NEW IMPORTATION OF TIBETAN RUGS
New importation from Nepal, with our own designs and some inspired by the photographs taken by the Hubble Telescope from the NASA.

Visit to Alpujarra

30 Jun, 2016
In Mairena, Alpujarra in Granada, with Lola, from a family of weavers for many generations. Very kindly she showed us the family looms and she shared very useful información about the weaving traditions in this area of southern Spain. The tradition goes back to when the Arabs were in Spain (711-1492).
